To ensure the highest quality of quilting, please make sure to complete the following:

* Please do not baste your quilt, for longarm machine quilting the back, batting, and quilt top are put on the machine separately

* If seams or bias edges come to the sides of the quilt, stay stich 1/4" from quilt edge

* Do not add embellishments until after the quilting is complete

* Mark top of quilt with safety pin on quilt top and backing fabric

* Trim all loose threads

* Press quilt top

* Backing (lining) of quilt must be at least 3 inches larger than quilt top on all sides; 6 inches total for length and width

* Press back seam open and trim selvage edges

Notes:
* The number one problem we find is fullness in the borders. To avoid possible puckers in your quilt caused by fullness in the borders, do not cut a long strip and sew it to the quilt. Measure your top through the center and cut your borders for the top and bottom, pin and then sew. After these first two borders are sewn on, measure through the center for the side borders, pin and sew. This should eliminate the fullness.
* When choosing your backing fabric think about the quilting and the color of thread you choose, We use the same thread front and back - no exceptions, so depending on the color you choose the pattern will stand out or blend in
* We cannot guarantee your backing to be centered with the quilt top
* Remember, longarm machine quilting is a hand-guided art form, each pattern and design in your quilt will not be exact.
